Welcome back to the Cultivation Station! Last week, I asked that you reflect the following questions:
Who am I?
Does my nature tend to be more optimistic or pessimistic?
How does my nature affected my experiences?
Your nature helps pinpoint your mindset. If you are pessimistic by nature, you have most likely been disappointed in a lot of your experiences. Your mind's main goal is to protect you. Therefore, as a defense mechanism, it chooses to expect the worst out of most experiences. I urge those with pessimistic nature to answer one question: When was the first time an experience did not go my way? Reflect on that time and go into as much detail as you can. Again, when I ask these questions on here, it is for reflection in you. I highly recommend recording these answers in a journal or in a voice recorder. I am here to assist you on your journey to yourself, but the work to get there is yours.
If you are optimistic by nature, you most likely see the bright side of most situations. You may turn losses into lessons. This mindset is great to have when navigating through life. Life is not perfect and there are gonna be days that may make you wanna rip your hair out, but you can only control your reactions and mindset. Knowing that there will always be a rainbow after a storm tends to help you realize that the bad day shall come to an end.
Your daily routine is what blends your present and future. If there’s a change you want to make in your life, don’t wait until the 1st of the year. Don’t wait period. Make that change as soon as you decide that’s what is best for you. Reflect on your current daily routine and what that consists of. Ask yourself, what am I doing today to cultivate who I am becoming?
Music plays a big role in my daily routine. I listen to music whenever I’m driving in the car and when I’m working. One of the most important things to remember about music is that it affects your subconscious mind. This is why I consciously choose what music I listen to everyday. I use music to uplift me and receive divine messages. If I do not feel uplifted by a song, it must be taken out of my daily rotation of music. There was a time where most of the music I listened to daily were sad love songs. Subconsciously, I was manifesting the energy from those songs into my real life cause I would play and sing along everyday. Your words have power, even the ones that you are singing. Once I realized, I took the time to change the frequency and energy that I was operating in. Some of the songs in my current playlist include:
Blessings by Big Sean & Drake
Still I Rise by Nicki Minaj
Feeling Myself by Scion Rae
NICE by the Carters
Pretty Brown Skin by Eugene King
If you listen to music daily, use them to your advantage by changing the frequency to where you would like to be. Ask yourself what can I change in my daily life to cultivate who I am becoming?
